Evil Blue Bird Animation

The idea for the evil blue bird came about while doodling with a group of friends. I wanted to learn and create an animation in Flash, so I took this doodle and refined it into the current image of the evil blue bird. Then I sketched the different positions that the legs should be in for it to run and recreated this in a movieclip within the main scene of the animation. After I finished creating the walk, I took a copy of that movieclip and changed it's orientation to mirror that of the first in the scene. I then skewed it and altered the brightness, contrast, saturation, and hue so that it appeared grey like a shadow, but still retained the animation in the initial movieclip. This is how I created the shadow and it's movement with the evil blue bird. This was an enjoyable project that was fun and great for learning animation in Flash.
